New edition of Exploring Environmental History Podcast: 'Environmental history: an applied science'
A new edition of the Exploring Environmental History Podcast will round off a four-part series investigating the nature, methods and challenges of environmental history. This podcast essay tries to put the subject in a theoretical and practical framework and considers why this area of study is different from other kinds of history. It discusses what the narrative of environmental history is and how it is researched illustrated by a practical example of how environmental historians work. Finally the podcast considers the ethical dimension and the pitfalls and advantages of the contemporary importance of environmental history as part of current environmental issues.
