New Environmental Humanities Initiative at the University of Granada (Spain)

In recent months, the Environmental Humanities Observatory of the University of Granada has been launched under the direction of Professor Antonio Ortega Santos (aortegas@go.ugr.es).

This proposal arises from the work that has been developed for more than 15 years by the Research Group HUM 952 (STAND South Training Action Network Of Decoloniality) as an Associated Institution of Reference of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences CLACSO.

A working group that has managed to establish as a team researchers not only in the Spanish context (University of Granada, University of Valencia, University of Alicante, CSIC History among others) but reference centers in the European framework (Saint Dennis University, France; Rachel Carson Centrer, LMU Munich) and in the Latin American context (University of Quilmes Argentina, UNICAUCA in Colombia, Fundación Antonio Núñez Jiménez in Havana, UNCUYO Argentina, CBC Cuzco Peru, Universidad Autónoma Baja California Sur México, Universidad Agraria La Molina, Peru, among others).
