Information on SEHA website and journal
The Spanish Society of Agrarian
History (SEHA) holds in Internet a web that wants
to be a platform for spreading the results of
research in agricultural and rural history. It
also try to be a useful instrument for research
work, teaching and scientific interchange in the
knowledge areas which are related to the
development of agrarian economy and the rural society in general.
With these aims, the SEHA's web has
been concreted in two different but connected
sites. On the one hand, the web serves as a
window for association's objectives, organs and
activities. The celebration of a biannual
congress of agrarian history since 1987 and the
publication of Monografías de Historia Rural's
collection are two of the most important SEHA's
activities. Likewise, the web announces other
congresses and workshops and holds links with
other associations, journals and research centres
that can be useful for all those who are
interested in rural history. Besides, a
comprehensive bibliographic data base about
Spanish agrarian history since 1991, with
collections of historical statistics and with
links to archives, sources, collections and data
base related to the matter, is included in this
site. Its URL is <http://www.seha.info/>http://www.seha.info.
Second site of the web is
specifically kept for the quarterly journal
Historia Agraria, edited by the SEHA. This one,
which has published its issue number 42 on August
2007, is the journal of rural history with the
widest scope and highest impact in Spain and
Latin America. In the association's web, besides
editorial policy and board of the journal, it is
possible to know the contents which has been
edited until now and to freely access to the
articles published in the numbers 32 to 37,
corresponding to 2004 and 2005. The most direct
links to the journal's site is
