The Division of Historiy of Science, Technology and the Environment conducts research in technology history, environmental history and science history. It also conducts research on industrial heritage and cultural heritage, as well as historically oriented technology and science studies.
We are now looking for a Postdoc for an employment of 1 year, starting from 1st of September or soon thereafter. You will be part of a dynamic research environment with a long track record in energy studies and in which historical studies are seamlessly integrated with studies with a more present-day focus.
The employment is funded by the StandUp energy-strategic research programme (www.standupforenergy.se), the post-doc will play an important part in strengthening the historical and societal dimension of KTH’s energy-oriented research.
Job description
As a posdoc you will do research about the history of energy supply. Within this broad frame, the you will have considerable flexibility in defining your own research focus.
You may also be participating, on a smaller scale (10-20%), in teaching and tasks of a more administrative character.

Qualifications
You have a doctoral degree in history, STS, innovation studies or a related field. The doctoral degree, or an equivalent foreign degree, have to be obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline. You have very good English skills, since you will work in a multi-cultural research environment and be expected to publish in English language.
Futher you have research experiance and expertise. You have educational ability and are aware of diversity and equal treatment issues with a particular focus on gender equality. You have the ability to work independent aswell as in teamwork.
It is a merit if you have earlier experience of energy-historical research.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal competence and suitability.
